Brighstone Down on the Isle of Wight features Bronze Age tumuli and a forest summit clearing. A pleasant walk with good HF propagation to Europe.

St Boniface Down is the Isle of Wight’s highest point with WWII radar history. Drive-on access made for an excellent 31-contact HF and VHF activation.

Butser Hill in Hampshire is the South Downs' highest chalk summit. I made a quick HF activation en route to the Isle of Wight.

Mynydd Machen near Caerphilly has industrial heritage and fine views. High parking spot means minimal walking. S2S contacts into central Europe on 20m SSB.

Mynydd Twyn-glas in South Wales offers superb Bristol Channel views from its 472m summit. Pleasant track walking despite scrambler bikes.
