Black Hill in the Dark Peak follows the historic Pennine Way on flagstone paths. A quick VHF activation from this Marilyn summit. A pleasant moorland walk.

Freeholds Top in the Southern Pennines is a boggy Marilyn above Rossendale. An easy track to the trig point and pond. A muddy but rewarding short walk.

Hail Storm Hill is the highest point in Rossendale. Followed the Pennine Way to this Lancashire Marilyn. A pleasant walk with a large activation zone.

Ward’s Stone is Lancashire’s highest point with two trig points. Boggy approach from Tarnbrook in poor visibility. A SOTA Complete for this summit walk.

Easington Fell in the Forest of Bowland is just 70cm higher than its neighbour. A quick evening activation over grass from Slaidburn Road. Pleasant views.

A quick and straightforward activation of England’s most southerly named fell, with well-defined paths and panoramic Lancashire views.
