Upper Park is Wales' most elusive SOTA summit on a private estate. A rare group activation organised by Ben GW4BML. Memorable day with fellow enthusiasts.
Ward’s Stone is Lancashire’s highest point with two trig points. Boggy approach from Tarnbrook in poor visibility. A SOTA Complete for this summit walk.
Easington Fell in the Forest of Bowland is just 70cm higher than its neighbour. A quick evening activation over grass from Slaidburn Road. Pleasant views.
A walk up Arnside Knott, starting from the gravel car park at the end of Saul’s Drive. A great walking spot with wonderful views across the southern Lakes.
Bardon Hill is a great place for walking with a number of options to reach the summit. I had an unusual radio contact with an Australian station on VHF.
